As the UK braces for an unseasonable cold snap, with temperatures forecast to drop below freezing in mid-May, shoppers are snapping up heated throws. One four-star rated item, the Slumberdown Elegantly Warm Luxury Electric Blanket Heated Throw, has been reduced by over £50 at Debenhams, now priced at just £27.96 – a 64% saving from its original £78.50.
The throw comes in three colours: Charcoal, Green, and Brown. The green shade is the cheapest at £27, while the other colours are £28. It features 10 temperature settings and an hourly timer, allowing users to personalise their warmth. The blanket is made from super soft faux mink fleece.
Other retailers are also offering deals. Dreamland has slashed the price of its Snuggle Up Electric Warming Throw from £70 to £49.99. Shoppers have praised it as “good value” and “highly recommended” for its quick heating. At Dunelm, the 4.5-star rated Carmen Fleece Electric Over Blanket is available for £48, with overheat protection for safety.
Customer reviews for the Slumberdown throw have been largely positive. One user said: “It’s a really good product. I use it during the day on a small setting when working from home and on a high setting on an evening! Keeps me warm and comfortable.” Another added: “Lovely super soft faux fur heated blanket, really warm, easy to use. Quick Delivery.” However, one customer reported a timer fault, advising others not to fall asleep with it on.
