With the Early May Bank Holiday approaching, shoppers across the UK should be aware that many supermarkets will operate reduced hours on Monday. We've compiled the opening times for major chains to help you plan your shopping.

Tesco will open most stores from 9am to 6pm in England and Wales, with larger London stores open 8am to 8pm. Express stores and petrol stations operate normal hours. In Northern Ireland, larger stores open 10am to 7pm, while Scottish Extra stores open normal hours and superstores 8am to 8pm.

Sainsbury's larger stores and some Local branches will have reduced hours, with most opening 9am to 7pm on Monday. Asda branches across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be open, many from 8am to 8pm. Aldi stores will open 8am to 8pm on Monday, while Lidl will operate normal hours.
