The SmartAir Glow Heat Electric Heater, now priced at £36 on Yimbly with the discount code AUTUMN10, is being praised by shoppers for its compact design and the 'impressive' amount of heat it produces. The unit, which features a flame-effect display, is part of a pre-Black Friday sale that cuts the price from £49.99 to £39.99, with the additional code bringing it down further.
According to customer feedback, the heater offers a cost-effective way to warm small spaces without relying on full central heating. Its adjustable heat and fan controls allow rooms to heat up within minutes, while the flame-effect display adds to the cosy atmosphere. The heater is available in black or white and includes a carry handle, making it easy to move around the home.
Pricing and availability
The current offer works out at 28% off and undercuts Amazon, where the identical heater is listed at £39.99, as well as B&Q. However, Yimbly customers will need to spend £50 or more to qualify for free delivery. Yimbly is owned by Reach plc, the parent company of the ECHO.
The heater's temperature dial and two fan speeds are complemented by four adjustable light settings on its fireplace-style display. This type of heater, which combines the practical benefits of a traditional heater with a more stylish design reminiscent of a log burner, has become increasingly popular with retailers including Yimbly.
Shopper reviews
One five-star reviewer said: "It looks good, very compact and portable with lovely attractive flame effect which makes you feel warm and cosy. Ideal to move around the house to warm up any cold space where needed."
Another customer wrote: "Small but effective heater that gives out a decent temperature. I haven't had it on for long periods due to the fan, which although not too loud is distracting if I'm reading or relaxing. Good value for the price in my opinion."
Noise levels were a sticking point for some buyers, with one noting: "It's not silent at all and really quite intrusive. Not suitable for bedrooms or study - you couldn't relax with that whirring away in the background!"
While the heater has only a handful of reviews on Yimbly, it has accumulated more than 30 on Amazon, where one customer commented: "Nice little heater with pretty flame effect. Lightweight, safe and gives out an impressive amount of heat for average size rooms." Another added: "Wow this small heater really packs a punch! I haven't used the smart aspect of the heater yet but it instantly warms up a cold room. It looks really aesthetic too."
Alternative options
Dunelm offers a comparable aesthetic with its Chiminea Style Flame Effect Heater, which has launched in a new olive green colour alongside black and white variations. Retailing at £100, it features wood-effect detailing and a flame-effect display that can be operated with or without heat.
Another alternative is the HOMCOM Freestanding Electric Fireplace at Argos, priced at £45.99 and available in black or white. This compact heater features a rotatable head and can function as a tabletop unit, covering an area of 10-15 m2. The SmartAir Glow Heat Electric Heater is currently available for £36 on Yimbly using the discount code AUTUMN10.
