MoneySavingExpert (MSE) has highlighted a deal-stacking offer that allows Tesco Clubcard holders to see the latest films at Cineworld for as little as £2.50. The promotion, valid until May 31, includes weekend and bank holiday screenings, expanding on the usual Tuesday-only offer.
How the 50p Deal Works
According to MSE, Clubcard members can exchange their loyalty points for vouchers that double in value when used for Cineworld codes. Every 50p worth of points becomes £1 towards tickets. The minimum conversion is 50p, so even small balances can secure a discounted ticket. Each transaction is capped at four tickets.
MSE explains: "Clubcard members can get up to four Cineworld tickets for £5 any day of the week until Sunday, May 31. This means it'll only be £2.50 when converting Clubcard vouchers to double the value." The offer applies to standard 2D screenings, with extra charges for premium formats like IMAX, 4DX, or ScreenX.
Redeeming Your Code
Tesco's website outlines the redemption process: after ordering, customers receive a confirmation email and a second email with a Partner code. For app orders, the code appears in the 'My Rewards' section within 15 minutes. To use it, click the link in the email or access the 'How to redeem' section in the app. Alternatively, show the code on your phone or a printed email at the cinema.
What's On Until May 31
Current screenings include The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Sheep Detectives, Michael, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. New releases from May 22 include Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass. Anniversary reissues of Shrek and Legally Blonde (25 years) and Top Gun (40 years) are also available at select venues. Check the Cineworld website for local showtimes and premium format availability.
