A charity shopper was left stunned after discovering multiple Emma Bridgewater products in her local charity shop, paying just £13.75 for seven items that would normally cost over £150.
50p Mug Sparks Shopping Spree
The shopper, known as 'The Old Bag' on Instagram, first spotted a mug with foxgloves painted on it, bearing the iconic Emma Bridgewater logo. Priced at just 50p, she immediately added it to her basket, believing she had 'hit the jackpot.'
Her luck continued as she found more items in a similar style, including a blue cornflower mug, a colourful wildflower mug, and a garden flower mug. She also discovered a now-discontinued lovebirds jug from 2023 and a second jug with a buttercup design, each priced at £2, plus a small oak-design bowl with a matching plate for £1.50.
Brand New Items with Tags
The final find was a bowl with a matching plate featuring an Easter Eggs design, still brand new with tags, priced at £4 each. Her total spend came to £13.75, a fraction of the estimated £150 retail value.
Emma Bridgewater is a British ceramics company founded in 1985, known for hand-decorated earthenware produced in Stoke-on-Trent. The brand's half-pint mugs typically retail for £26-£30, making second-hand finds particularly appealing.
