Vodka Seltzers Mislabeled as Energy Drinks Trigger Recall

Americans have been warned that some packages of High Noon vodka seltzers have been mistakenly mislabeled as non-alcoholic Celsius energy drinks, prompting a recall. The US Food and Drug Administration posted the recall announcement from High Noon, the alcoholic beverage brand.

High Noon stated that two lots of its Beach Variety 12-packs contain cans mislabeled as “CELSIUS® ASTRO VIBE Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition”. The brand cautioned that consuming the liquid in these cans would result in unintentional alcohol ingestion.

The recall was initiated after High Noon discovered that a shared packaging supplier had mistakenly sent it empty Celsius cans. The affected packs were shipped to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
