Barclays has provided an update on potential future bonus payments for customers, following the recent distribution of £200 to those who switched to a Barclays Bank Account. The offer, which required applications by May 28, has now ended.
When asked about plans for another similar cash bonus scheme, a Barclays spokesperson stated: 'We regularly review our products and offers to make sure they meet the needs of our customers, and we'll continue to assess opportunities in this space.' The bank also noted that it keeps its propositions under constant review, considering customer feedback and a range of factors to ensure competitive options.
In a separate clarification, Barclays addressed a customer query about debit card expiry and replacement. The bank confirmed that all debit cards are sent out five weeks before the current card expires, and it can take up to seven working days to arrive after being sent. Customers can view their cards in the Barclays app by tapping 'Your cards' on the home screen, below their account balance.
