Barclays is offering new current account customers a cash bonus of up to £200, while wealthier clients may secure luxury rewards valued at up to £600 through a new promotion. The high street lender has introduced two switching deals, available from June 9 until August 27, 2026, as competition for customers intensifies.
Two Switching Offers Available
Anyone opening a standard Barclays current account and completing a full switch can receive a £200 cash payment. Those eligible for a Barclays Premier account can choose from a range of experiences worth up to £600, including Michelin-starred dining, luxury hotel stays, premium tickets to sporting and entertainment events, and family attraction passes.
Eligibility for Premier Account
To qualify for a Premier account, customers must earn at least £75,000 annually, hold £100,000 or more in savings or investments with Barclays, or meet a combination of these criteria. Customers switching to a Premier account must open the account through the Barclays app, transfer at least two active direct debits, and pay in a minimum of £4,000 within 30 days.
Standard Account Offer
Those opting for the standard Barclays current account must also switch at least two active direct debits and pay in £2,000 within 30 days to receive the £200 bonus.
Additional Perks for Existing Customers
Barclays is promoting additional perks this summer. Premier customers can access rewards through Barclays Experiences, including complimentary drinks from Gail's bakery, cinema offers, prize draws, and entertainment giveaways. All eligible personal Barclays debit card holders can earn 5% cashback on fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations until July 31, capped at £10 per month.

Terms and Conditions
The offers are only available to new Barclays current account customers and exclude anyone who already held a Barclays Current or Premier Account before June 9, 2026, as well as customers who have previously taken advantage of a Barclays switching incentive. All switches must be completed through the Current Account Switching Service, which transfers payments and closes the old account within seven working days.
