A simple 40p magic eraser sponge can remove stubborn yellow stains from toilet seats in just one minute, according to cleaning enthusiasts on social media.
One frustrated user posted anonymously on the 'Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks' Facebook page, sharing an image of a discoloured toilet seat and asking for help after trying numerous products without success. They wrote: 'Help! My toilet seat is stained and I have tried so much to get it off but nothing has worked.'
