Cleveland Police have released an image of a man wanted in connection with reported shootings in the North East. Officers are urging anyone who sees Ethan Burke, or knows his whereabouts, to call 101 immediately. Members of the public are advised not to approach the 24-year-old.
Two linked incidents
Investigations are ongoing after two alleged shootings earlier this week. The first report involved a firearm being discharged at a property on Flint Close, Grangetown, at around 10.50pm on Wednesday, July 22. The following day, at 3.15pm, police received a report of an alleged shooting on Bevanlee Road, South Bank.
Cleveland Police believe the incidents are linked. In total, eight people have been arrested in connection with the events, according to Teesside Live.
Police appeal
Posting on social media, a spokesperson for Cleveland Police released a photograph of Burke and said: “He is wanted in connection with incidents in the Grangetown and Southbank areas earlier this week. If you see him or know where he is, please do not approach him, call 101 immediately.”
The spokesperson added: “If you have information on his whereabouts but don’t want to speak with police directly, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can leave information anonymously.”
