Galino Limited, a UK engineering company founded in 1981 in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, entered administration on Tuesday, July 7. All 12 staff members have been made redundant, with a small number assisting the administrators for a short period.
Administrators appointed
David McGinness and Judith Howson of AAB Business & Tax Advisory have been appointed as joint administrators. McGinness stated: "Upon appointment, the business ceased to trade and, unfortunately, all 12 staff were made redundant." He added that a small number of former employees will assist the joint administrators for a short period.
Support for employees
McGinness said: "The joint administrators are engaged with the relevant agencies to co-ordinate supporting the employees through the difficult process." A spokesperson for AAB Business & Tax Advisory added: "Creditors, employees, customers and other affected parties will be contacted directly with information relevant to them."

Galino specialised in industrial fastening tools, custom fasteners, and machine screw products. Its customers included companies in construction, automotive, furniture, and packaging industries. The company described itself as offering "a vast range of fasteners" and "corresponding pneumatic and hand tools," serving trades such as construction, furniture, doors and windows, automotive, flooring, whisky packaging, pallet and crate making, printing, and tagging.
