Mohamed Salah Agent Issues Transfer Update on Next Club Decision
Salah Agent: Next Club Decision Coming Very Soon

Mohamed Salah's agent Ramy Abbas Issa has released a statement suggesting that the Egyptian forward's next club could be decided "very soon." Salah left Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the 2025-26 season after agreeing to terminate his contract early, despite having one year remaining.

Salah's World Cup Campaign and Transfer Speculation

Salah guided Egypt to the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup, where they were eliminated by eventual finalists Argentina. Since then, speculation has intensified about the 34-year-old's future. He has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabian clubs, including Al-Hilal, as well as teams in Major League Soccer and Turkey.

Agent's Social Media Statements

Taking to social media, Abbas wrote: "We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season by [sic] we may know very soon. It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn't want to play for, just for the sake of noise."

This follows two earlier posts from Abbas regarding Salah's future. On May 24, after Salah's final appearance for Liverpool—his 442nd for the club—Abbas wrote: "We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows. Beware of the click-w****** attention seekers."

On June 12, Abbas added: "Mohamed is doing perfectly fine and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them. Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response but that's about it."

Background on Salah's Liverpool Exit

Salah said an emotional goodbye to Liverpool supporters at Anfield after his final game for the club in May. The Egyptian forward had been a key player for Liverpool since joining in 2017, scoring over 200 goals for the club. His departure on a free transfer marked the end of an era for the Reds.

Potential Destinations

While no official offers have been confirmed, Saudi Arabian clubs, particularly Al-Hilal, are believed to be strong contenders for Salah's signature. MLS franchises and Turkish sides have also expressed interest. However, Abbas's statement suggests that the decision will be made privately, with only clubs Salah would consider playing for being engaged in negotiations.
