Newcastle Transfer News: Ayari Linked, Tonali Future

Newcastle United are expecting a busy summer transfer window, but as of now, only one new addition has been made to Eddie Howe's squad. It is still early in the window, but the club has yet to add to Ewen Jaouen's signing, with wideman target Victor Munoz opting to join Liverpool instead.

Yasin Ayari Interest

Newcastle have been credited with interest in Brighton's Swedish midfielder Yasin Ayari. The 22-year-old moved to the Seagulls from AIK in 2023 and has had spells on loan at Blackburn and Coventry. Ayari scored twice on his World Cup debut in the 6-1 win over Tunisia and made 32 appearances for Brighton last season. He could be the ideal Sandro Tonali replacement should the Italian leave this summer, but there is also interest from Chelsea in the midfielder, who is valued at around £25-30 million.

Transfer Plans and Speculation

Newcastle sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and have been linked with a series of replacements, with a transfer plan in place. The club has scoured European markets to bring the best young talent to Tyneside. There is continued speculation over the future of several first-team stars, with Sandro Tonali, Lewis Hall, and Tino Livramento linked with moves away, but as yet, United have had no offers.
