Man United's Next Transfer Priority Clear After Four Deals

Manchester United have completed four summer signings, but fans have made their next transfer priority clear. After a slow start partly due to the World Cup, the club accelerated business last week with three arrivals at Old Trafford.

Four Summer Deals Completed

Andrey Santos was the first to join from Chelsea for an initial £48m, potentially rising to £50m. Free agent Karl Darlow, who played last season for Leeds, followed swiftly. Youri Tielemans then arrived from Aston Villa for £35m. On Monday, the Reds added exciting winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur for £4m, with the deal potentially reaching £8m.

Fan Poll Reveals Priority

Before Thompson's arrival, MEN Sport asked United fans who should be signed next. A total of 1,253 votes were cast, with more than half (54 per cent) insisting a third midfielder should be the priority. The club had looked set to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson until a medical issue halted the deal.

Other Positions Considered

The next most popular answer was a back-up striker (29 per cent). Currently, Benjamin Sesko is the only centre-forward challenging for starts next season. Just 10 per cent voted for a left winger, while another 7 per cent chose 'other'.
