Liverpool Sign Victor Munoz for £35m, Target Yan Diomande with £87m Bid
Liverpool Sign Munoz, Pursue Diomande in £87m Deal

Liverpool have completed the signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna in a deal worth £35m, marking the first addition of the Andoni Iraola era. The Spain international, currently at the World Cup, has signed a long-term contract after triggering his release clause.

Munoz Deal Includes Surprise Clause

Reports from Spain indicate that the transfer includes a sell-on clause benefiting Real Madrid, who sold 50% of Munoz's rights to Osasuna for £4.3m in 2025. Liverpool reportedly approached Real Madrid to ensure they did not activate their buy-back clause, allowing the clause to remain active until 2027.

Diomande Bid Rejected

Liverpool have seen an £87m bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande rejected. The Bundesliga club demands £112m for the 19-year-old, who scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 33 league appearances last season. Liverpool are also considering alternatives such as Yankuba Minteh, Said El Mala, and Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
