Katie Price has reportedly been dealt another major blow after her husband, Lee Andrews, was allegedly arrested again in Dubai just weeks after being released from prison. According to The Sun, Andrews, 42, was taken to Lahbab Police Station on Friday while attempting to raise around £120,000 that he reportedly believed he owed.
Details of the Arrest
The reported arrest comes barely a month after the businessman spent four weeks behind bars at Dubai’s Al Awir prison over separate financial matters. A friend told the publication Andrews sent a message saying: ‘They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me.’ Price, 48, is understood to be back in the UK with her eldest son Harvey while awaiting news of her husband’s expected release. A source told the newspaper Andrews had become increasingly stressed in the days before the reported arrest because he was trying to raise money to settle what he believed he owed.
Previous Legal Issues
The latest development follows reports that Andrews had previously been detained over outstanding debts accumulated while living in the UAE. Among the claims reported by The Sun were an alleged unpaid luxury hire car bill dating back to 2022, reportedly worth around £54,000, alongside an alleged £15,000 debt to a UAE law firm. At the time, Andrews’ legal issues were said to stem from unpaid debts rather than new criminal allegations.
Allegations Against Lee Andrews
Since marrying Katie Price, Lee Andrews has faced multiple allegations. He was accused of misleading claims about being a multi-millionaire business owner, with his profile on social media showing him as CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness’. However, it was later exposed as a farce, with no information about his company on its website and his snaps with celebrities appearing to be AI-generated. He was also banned from leaving Dubai after allegedly serving time in Al Awir central prison for suspected fraud, including taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge. Additionally, he and Price teased a fake pregnancy, and two of his exes accused him of being a ‘liar, narcissist and manipulator’, with one calling him the ‘Tinder Swindler’. Recently, he reportedly ‘ghosted’ his wife and was squatting in a run-down villa in Dubai using a burner phone.
Katie Price's Documentary
The latest reports come at what had appeared to be a positive moment for Price professionally. Her new Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, premiered this week, with the former glamour model laying bare the realities of her life, finances and relationships. Throughout the series, Price insists she wanted the programme to show the truth rather than a polished version of events. The documentary also explores her whirlwind romance with Andrews, whom she married in January after a relatively short relationship, with Price repeatedly describing him as bringing stability into her life after years of turbulent headlines.
