Inmate Who Killed Child Killer Gets Whole-Life Order

A prisoner who murdered notorious child killer Kyle Bevan at HMP Wakefield has been handed a whole-life order. David Taylor, 64, was sentenced for two murders and one attempted murder after he admitted killing Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, 24, before being convicted, along with two others, of stabbing Bevan 25 times in his cell.

Taylor also attacked a detective during a police interview, lunging at him with an improvised metal weapon and plunging it into his chest. The court heard that Taylor was known for his ability to construct makeshift weapons, or shivs, and that prison authorities believed he had hidden a weapon in his body for weeks at one point.
