A man has been charged with attempted rape following two alleged sex attacks in parks in Rochdale. The incidents involved two women and took place in Broadfield Park in the town centre and Milnrow Memorial Park on Saturday July 25.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said Harvey Symes, a 23-year-old black British national of Simeon Street, Milnrow, has been charged with two counts of attempted rape and making threats to kill. He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday.
