Five men have been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman reported being seriously sexually assaulted at a property in Ipswich in the early hours of Sunday.
Suffolk Police confirmed the arrests, with the men, aged 27, 31, 35, 44 and 49, remaining in police custody for questioning.
Investigation under way
An investigation has been launched into the alleged assault. The woman is being supported by specially trained officers, and there will be an increased police presence in the area as enquiries continue.
Suffolk Police urged any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Craig Brett said: “I understand the concern this may cause the local community and would like to assure the public that our teams have been working tirelessly since the incident was reported to us.
“A scene remains in place and there is currently an increased police presence in the area as we conduct our enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
“We encourage the public to speak with officers if you have any concerns or information.”
