East Kilbride are interested in signing former Airdrieonians midfielder Lewis McGrattan, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands. The League One outfit are pushing to bring in the 25-year-old to bolster their squad ahead of facing the Diamonds in the division this coming season.
McGrattan's Airdrie career
McGrattan was a mainstay in the Airdrie squad under Rhys McCabe in 2024/25 and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair last season, making 87 appearances for the Diamonds and scoring 14 goals. He was released by the club at the end of their 2025/26 Championship campaign, which saw them relegated via the play-offs.
Competition for signature
It is understood McGrattan is one of a number of players Kilby are speaking to as they try to complete their squad. Kilby do face competition from SPFL rivals in the Championship and overseas, but the midfielder was spotted at K-Park this afternoon taking in East Kilbride's 4-0 win over Kelty Hearts in their first pre-season friendly.
Kennedy's recruitment drive
EK boss Mick Kennedy has already brought in 12 new recruits during the close season, with defender Darragh O'Connor and goalkeeper Sean Kelly the latest unveiled earlier this week.
