The BBC has published its annual report for 2025/26, disclosing the salaries of on-air and off-air staff earning more than £178,000 from licence fee revenue. The list includes the main BBC Breakfast presenters, with Naga Munchetty topping the group at £360,000-£364,999, an increase from £355,000-£359,999 the previous year.
Naga Munchetty: Eighth Highest Earner
Naga Munchetty, who co-hosts BBC Breakfast and also presents her own show on BBC Radio 5 Live from Monday to Wednesday, ranks eighth overall on the BBC's salary list. Her pay band rose by £5,000 year-on-year.
Jon Kay: 43rd on the List
Jon Kay, a regular BBC Breakfast presenter, occupies 43rd place with earnings of £225,000-£229,999. This represents a decrease from £240,000-£244,999 in 2024/25. Beyond Breakfast, Kay contributes to Radio 4's Saturday Live, Any Answers, Pick of the Week, and Last Word.
Rachel Burden: 46th Position
Stand-in presenter Rachel Burden, who also hosts 5 Live Breakfast and the Cafe Hope podcast, ranks 46th with a salary of £215,000-£219,999, down from £220,000-£224,999 the prior year.
Sally Nugent: 58th with No Change
Sally Nugent, whose duties are limited to BBC Breakfast, appears 58th on the list with earnings of £200,000-£204,999, unchanged from the previous year.
Charlie Stayt: 65th and Stable
Charlie Stayt, also solely focused on BBC Breakfast, ranks 65th with a salary of £190,000-£194,999, showing no change year-on-year.
