Trump's Iran Deal Includes $300bn Rebuilding Fund

President Donald Trump's truce deal with Iran reportedly includes a staggering $300 billion (£223 billion) payment from the United States to rebuild the country after the recent conflict. The war began with US-Israeli strikes on Tehran on February 28.

Details of the Agreement

The agreement, which is set to be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday, also includes the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump announced at the G7 summit in France on Monday, "The deal's all signed. And the strait is already partially opened."

Under the terms, the US and the United Nations will lift all sanctions on Iran, provided a final agreement addressing Tehran's nuclear program is reached.
