The transfer window is officially open, and clubs are preparing to do business this summer. Manchester United are expected to be one of the busiest teams in the market as they aim to strengthen their squad for a return to the Champions League.
Michael Carrick guided United into the Champions League last season and was rewarded with the job on a full-time basis. It is understood that United will go all out in the window, with both incomings and outgoings expected at Old Trafford.
Across town, Manchester City are continuing their pursuit of Elliot Anderson, while recently crowned champions Arsenal are keen to build on an impressive title-winning season. Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez have been mentioned as potential Gunners targets, with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham also eager to spend.
Lewis Hall Eyed Up by Chelsea
Lewis Hall has reportedly been identified as Marc Cucurella's replacement. The left-back came through the ranks at Chelsea but was allowed to join Newcastle in 2023. Hall has since impressed and is considered among the best left-backs in the Premier League.
According to TEAMtalk, the 21-year-old is on Chelsea's list of potential Marc Cucurella replacements. The Spanish international's departure to Real Madrid was announced this week.
Tottenham Target Sandro Tonali
Tottenham are reportedly chasing Sandro Tonali. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who states the north Londoners have entered the race. Tonali has been linked with several Premier League sides, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
It is claimed Spurs are looking to implement an ambitious new project and want Tonali to join. Newcastle missed out on European football last season and might have to sell as a result. The Magpies are unlikely to let him go for cheap though, with a price tag close to £100 million having been mooted. Tonali is enjoying the summer off after Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup.
