Tottenham Boosted for Kroupi After Bournemouth Sign Rodriguez

Tottenham Hotspur have received a potential boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi after the Cherries agreed a deal worth up to £25.7 million for Elche striker Alvaro Rodriguez. The 20-year-old Kroupi has emerged as a priority target for Spurs as they continue their squad overhaul under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Kroupi Attracts Interest from Multiple Clubs

According to football.london, Kroupi has firmly caught the eye of Tottenham, but competition for his signature is fierce. Both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the youngster, who scored 13 Premier League goals last season. Bournemouth have reportedly placed an £80 million price tag on the forward, indicating their reluctance to sell one of their key assets.

Bournemouth's Rodriguez Signing May Change Stance

However, Bournemouth's recent transfer activity suggests they may be open to negotiations. BBC Sport reports that the south-coast club have agreed an initial £21.4 million fee for Rodriguez, which could rise to £25.7 million. The striker has been brought in to provide competition for Evanilson and plays a similar role to Kroupi. This could signal that Bournemouth are now more willing to consider offers for Kroupi, with a ready-made replacement secured.

Tottenham's Summer Spending Spree

Spurs have already demonstrated their willingness to spend heavily this summer. On Thursday, they finalized an £85 million transfer for midfielder Mateus Fernandes. They have also agreed a fee of up to £100 million with Newcastle for midfielder Sandro Tonali. Earlier, De Zerbi's side spent £52 million to sign Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke. In addition, Tottenham have sealed deals for Martin Dubravka, Marco Senesi, and Andy Robertson.

Kroupi remains Tottenham's primary target, but the club is also interested in AC Milan's Rafael Leao and Manchester City's Savinho. De Zerbi has emphasized the need for quick deals to integrate new signings during pre-season, and the club's swift activity is expected to satisfy his demands.
