Rangers are on the verge of completing a double transfer move as they push forward with their summer rebuild under new manager Derek McInnes. The Ibrox club is set to welcome Partizan Belgrade midfielder Vanja Dragojevic while Brazilian striker Danilo heads for the exit door.
Vanja Dragojevic Arrival Imminent
Record Sport understands that a deal worth around £4.5 million has been agreed with Partizan Belgrade for the 20-year-old Dragojevic. The midfielder is expected to arrive in Glasgow imminently after holding talks with McInnes ahead of the move. Dragojevic becomes the seventh signing of the McInnes era as the manager continues to reshape his squad.
Danilo Departs for Botafogo
McInnes has also given the green light for Danilo to return to his homeland with Brazilian club Botafogo. The 27-year-old striker will initially join on a season-long loan, with Botafogo securing an option to make the move permanent. Danilo's departure frees up space in the squad and wages for further additions.
McInnes's Rebuild Accelerates
Since taking over from Danny Rohl last month, McInnes has already snapped up six new players: Ivor Pandur, Ross McCrorie, Dan Neil, Lawrence Shankland, Cammy Devlin, and Ben Godfrey. The former Hearts boss is still searching for further reinforcements, with a right winger believed to be a priority.
Vaclav Cerny Deal Stalls
Rangers have been exploring a potential return for Czech winger Vaclav Cerny, who previously spent a season on loan in Glasgow.
