Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, following Anderlecht's initial move for the player. The Scottish Premiership side has already completed six new signings this summer, including Ross McCrorie, Dan Neil, Lawrence Shankland, Cammy Devlin, Ivor Pandur, and Ben Godfrey. A deal worth around £4.5 million for Partizan Belgrade goalkeeper Vanja Dragojevi is also expected to be finalized imminently.
Rangers face competition for Cozier-Duberry
According to The Athletic, Rangers, Augsburg, and Paris FC are all keen on the 21-year-old, while Anderlecht has already had a £5 million offer rejected. Cozier-Duberry's current contract with Brighton runs until 2028. The winger spent last season on loan at Bolton, where he helped Steven Schumacher's side secure promotion back to the Championship, contributing nine goals and 13 assists.
Comparisons to Bukayo Saka
Cozier-Duberry is currently training with Brighton's first team during pre-season and is being assessed by manager Fabian Hurzeler. The report suggests he remains part of the first-team plans, with talks ongoing over a new contract. The Arsenal academy graduate was previously compared to Bukayo Saka by former Gunners youth coach Jack Wilshere, who said: "Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him. He reminds me of Bukayo Saka... In some moments, he's unplayable."
Other transfer targets
Rangers are also keen to re-sign Vaclav Cerny from Besiktas, but the Turkish club is demanding a high fee. The Glasgow giants continue to overhaul their squad under manager Derek McInnes, with more deals expected before the window closes.
