Prestige Used Car Dealership Automotive Direct Plunges into Liquidation
Prestige Car Dealer Automotive Direct Enters Liquidation

Automotive Direct Limited, a used car dealership specialising in prestige vehicles and supercars, has entered liquidation, dealing another blow to the UK motoring industry. The London-based company, located on the North Circular Road, appointed liquidators on June 30, 2026, with confirmation published in the London Gazette on July 1.

Liquidators Appointed

Nicholas Stratten and Michelle Breslin of Greenfield Recovery Limited have been appointed as joint liquidators. At this early stage, it remains unclear what impact the liquidation will have on potential job losses. The notice followed a “Resolutions for Winding-Up Order” stating that the business was “wound up voluntarily”.

Business Background and Stock

Incorporated in April 2017, Automotive Direct had been trading for just over nine years. Its social media presence showcased a collection of high-end vehicles, including Bentley Continental GT models, Lamborghini Gallardos, and Mercedes SL400 AMGs. According to Companies House, the business is still listed as “active” but with an “active proposal to strike off”.

Wider Industry Trend

Automotive Direct is not alone in facing difficulties. The Car Sales Factory Limited, a Lancashire-based used car dealership, also entered liquidation after six years in business. Similarly, Flow Motors LTD entered voluntary liquidation in May 2026, despite operating for seven years. These collapses highlight ongoing pressures in the UK used car market.
