The July Premium Bonds draw has produced two new millionaires, as announced by National Savings & Investments (NS&I). The first winner, from inner London, holds £30,600 in Premium Bonds. The second, from Surrey, has £22,350 invested and purchased their winning bond in September 2021.
Premium Bonds are an investment product where, instead of earning interest, holders are entered into a monthly prize draw for tax-free prizes ranging from £25 to £1 million. The odds of winning per £1 bond are currently 24,500 to 1 each month.
Winners can check their bonds via the NS&I prize checker tool or app, or through Amazon Alexa by entering their holder's number. Those who have opted for direct payment or reinvestment will be notified by email or text.
The minimum investment is £25, with a maximum of £50,000. More than 90% of prizes are now paid directly into bank accounts or reinvested. NS&I's 'Agent Million' personally informs the top prize winners, revealing their reactions and the process.
