Manzambi, a versatile midfielder, has attracted widespread interest following his performances in Qatar. However, the transfer will not be finalized while Switzerland remain in the competition. The player is currently nursing a minor knee injury, and head coach Murat Yakin is uncertain whether he will recover in time for the quarter-final clash against Argentina on Sunday.
Newcastle's stance on Bruno Guimarães
Newcastle have reiterated that they have no intention of selling Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal, despite the Brazil midfielder growing unsettled on Tyneside. The departures of Sandro Tonali to Tottenham and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona have contributed to Guimarães' discontent. The club may offer him a new contract to change the narrative, but if Arsenal submit a bid in the region of £75 million, Newcastle would face a difficult decision. Guimarães, 28, could see his wages almost double at the Emirates, though Arsenal have yet to make a formal offer.
Sean Steur joins from Ajax
