Mohamed Salah will join Turkish giants Besiktas after ending his legendary Liverpool career, according to reports. The 34-year-old Egypt star has agreed terms on a one-year deal worth approximately €10 million (£8.5 million) plus an additional €2 million (£1.7 million) in bonuses, with an option to extend by a further year.
Salah's Liverpool Farewell
Salah confirmed in March that the 2025-26 campaign would be his final season at Anfield, sparking intense speculation about his next move. The forward attracted interest from clubs worldwide, including long-term suitors from Saudi Arabia, but has opted to remain in Europe by joining Besiktas.
According to Foot Mercato, via GFFN, the deal is expected to be finalized early next week, with Salah's World Cup commitments with Egypt now concluded. The attacker is anticipated to undergo a medical and sign officially in the coming days.
Details of the Agreement
The one-year contract includes a base salary of €10 million, with performance-related bonuses that could increase the total value to €12 million. Besiktas have been keen to secure Salah's signature and hope to wrap up the transfer swiftly.
Salah leaves Liverpool after an illustrious spell that saw him become one of the club's greatest modern players, scoring over 200 goals and winning multiple trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.
