Insiders claim the atmosphere at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Montecito home is strained as financial pressures mount. Despite the appearance of opulence on social media, the couple is reportedly anxious about their economic situation following the collapse of several multi-million-pound deals and disappointing commercial returns.
Financial Reality Hits Home
A source revealed: 'The atmosphere in Montecito is strained right now. The financial reality has finally hit home and Meghan is in panic mode. The fact of the matter is they need to generate as much income as they can to fund their current lifestyle, and the money isn’t coming in as it did before.'
While the couple boasts a net worth of $60 million, their liquid cash is reportedly dwindling, according to the insider.
As Ever Website Sees Visitor Drop
The official As Ever website experienced a 33% decline in visitors between January and April this year. Royal expert Alison Boshoff noted that expiration dates on As Ever products—jams, teas, and flower sprinkles—are approaching, adding to the urgency.
Sources speaking to Women's Day suggested bankruptcy could occur by the end of the year. 'Meghan just can’t move enough product and she can’t expect to sell things at full price with shortened expiration dates,' an insider said. 'Unless she and Harry have some miracle up their sleeve, there might be no saving this business.'
The Express has contacted the Sussexes for comment but has not yet received a response.
