Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's new sportswear brand, Aytee7, had a slow launch at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. The pop-up store, set up near Selfridges, featured items on rails and promotional pictures of the couple. Despite security and queue barriers in place, the event saw a limited turnout.
Fans quickly took to social media to show support for the former TOWIE star. One wrote: 'I sympathise with him. I wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone launching a new business.' Others blamed the marketing team, with comments like: 'I’d blame promoting team, I did seeing this anywhere on social media.'
Wright, 37, promoted the brand by wearing a black t-shirt from the label. He and Michelle, who married in 2015, shared marketing images online. Wright posted on Instagram: 'We are so proud of #ourbrand @aytee7... The whole range has 20% off all products at www.aytee7.com until Sunday!!'
While some fans praised the clothing, others criticised the pricing. One commented: 'Just looked and far too expensive £59 for a pair of leggings.' Another joked: 'Will i look like Michelle if I wear it thou.' Wright, a fitness enthusiast who played for West Ham United youth team, remains optimistic about the venture.
