Man Utd Imminent Transfer: Trabzonspor President Confirms Onana Agreement
Man Utd Transfer: Onana Agreement Confirmed by Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has confirmed that the Turkish club has met Andre Onana's financial demands, intensifying speculation about the Manchester United goalkeeper's future. Onana spent last season on loan with Trabzonspor, helping them secure Europa League qualification and lifting the Turkish Cup.

Onana's Return to Old Trafford in Doubt

The Cameroon international was expected to return to Manchester United and compete with Senne Lammens for the starting goalkeeper role. However, Lammens impressed last season, establishing himself as the first-choice keeper. Trabzonspor is keen to make the loan permanent, while Besiktas also reportedly plans to hijack the deal.

Financial Details and PSR Compliance

Manchester United needs to sell Onana for approximately £20 million to comply with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Although no agreement on a transfer fee has been reached yet, Dogan is confident personal terms will not be an issue.

Speaking to Ajansspor, Dogan said: "I think Andre Onana will stay with the team. We've met his financial demands. The fans like him too. He's a decent bloke. I don't think we'll have any problems."

Dogan's Optimism and Ongoing Talks

Dogan previously told HT Spor that he expects to finalize the deal "in the coming days." He stated: "We speak with Andre Onana almost every day. He loves it here. We want him to stay, but of course everyone has their own life and plans. We have to respect that."

Onana became a fan favorite during his loan spell, and Dogan believes the goalkeeper will not find a better offer elsewhere. If the transfer collapses, Trabzonspor is prepared to find a replacement of similar quality.
