Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Osasuna star Victor Munoz, beating Premier League rivals Newcastle to his signature. The Reds have had a quiet summer transfer window so far but have been linked with several potential new signings.
The transfer window opened this week and Liverpool are now closing in on their first new arrival at Anfield. Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Liverpool are on the verge of signing Munoz after expressing a desire to pay the forward's release clause.
Munoz, a 22-year-old Spain international, has a €40 million (£34.6 million) release clause in his contract at Osasuna. The report claims that Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement on a deal, with Munoz now expected to complete a switch to Merseyside this summer.
