Chelsea have confirmed the departure of Deivid Washington to BlueCo sister club Strasbourg on transfer Deadline Day, as the Blues focus on trimming their squad before the window closes at 11pm BST on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old striker joined Chelsea in August 2023 from Santos for a reported fee of £17.2m, going on to make three first-team appearances during his debut season. He returned to Santos on loan in February 2025 and made 20 appearances for the Brazilian side.
Statement from Chelsea
A statement reads: "We thank Deivid for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career."
Washington's exit follows Marc Guiu sealing a switch to RB Leipzig in the first deal of the day. Guiu has joined Leipzig on a permanent deal worth £14million, signing a five-year contract at the Red Bull Arena.
Other Deadline Day moves
Elsewhere on Deadline Day, Chelsea have announced their pre-agreement to sign Honest Ahanor from Atalanta next summer. The young defender will join in a deal worth £40million after spending the season on loan at Crystal Palace.
As Chelsea have already sent Axel Disasi to Palace for the rest of the current campaign, Ahanor moves to Selhurst Park as an Atalanta player before officially joining Chelsea next summer. Premier League rules prevent Crystal Palace from loaning two players from Chelsea in the same season.
Enzo Fernandez and youngster Shim Mheuka are also preparing to complete moves to Manchester City and Celtic respectively.
