Canna Deli Replaces Ffloc Cafe in Cardiff's Canton After Lease Ends
Canna Deli Replaces Ffloc Cafe in Cardiff Canton

Canna Deli, a beloved Pontcarna brunch and lunch spot, is set to open a second location on Cowbridge Road East in Cardiff's Canton area, replacing the popular cheese toastie cafe Ffloc.

Ffloc's Departure and New Direction

In June, Ffloc announced that its lease at the corner property—recognizable by its orange brick and wooden frontage—had expired. The cafe, known for its affordable and tasty cheese toasties and coffee, will pivot to an online presence, selling its coffee beans. The team shared on Instagram: "We've built a quality brand based on creativity, community and Cymru. We're so very proud of this and it's not going anywhere. This feels right for our family right now and it's where we see the potential for growth, selling our lovely roasted in Wales coffi beans online. Don't rule out pop ups though, for those sumptuous Iron Grilled Cheese Sandwiches!" They also thanked their staff, customers, and local businesses for their support.

Canna Deli Takes Over

Canna Deli, a longtime resident of Pontcanna Mews off King's Road, will move into the vacated space next to the Co-op store. The deli is celebrated for its coffee and cake, breakfast and lunch offerings. Among its popular dishes is the Rye Me Up breakfast, featuring a soft-boiled egg on crumbled Black Mountain hot-smoked salmon and rye toast. It also serves oversized cheesy pulled pork burritos, fresh salads, sandwiches, and baked goods, all accompanied by Eryri roasted Poblado Coffee.
