Cala Homes Donates £2000 to Hamilton School for Outdoor Gear

Cala Homes (West) has donated £2000 to Woodhead Primary School in Hamilton, allowing the school to buy new waterproof outdoor jackets and trousers for its pupils. The funding ensures children can play outside regardless of weather conditions.

Donation Supports Outdoor Learning and Play

The school, located near Cala’s Cornhill Village development, will use the waterproof clothing to keep pupils dry and warm while they learn and play in the playground. The donation is part of Cala’s Community Pledge, a commitment to investing in local communities where the house builder operates, exceeding planning obligations and addressing local needs.

House Builder's Community Commitment

Suzanne McElhiney, sales and marketing director at Cala Homes (West), said: “We’re always passionate about taking care of the communities in which we build, and as soon as we heard that Woodhead Primary School needed new outdoor items for its pupils, we were happy to support. We hope that these new jackets and trousers will help pupils at the school enjoy playing outside and getting active, even though summer is here, we know what typical Scottish weather is like.”
