Cardiff's Victoria Park splashpad, a popular family attraction, has closed until further notice. The news comes with almost two weeks left of the summer school holidays.
Fault identified during cleaning
Cardiff Council announced the closure on social media, citing a "fault" spotted at the facility. A statement from the council said: "The splash pad in Victoria Park will be closed until further notice after a fault was identified during cleaning.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will reopen the facility as soon as possible."
Popular attraction since 2016
Located in a Grade II-listed park, the splashpad first opened in 2016 and has since become a firm favourite with families. Its water features are spread across three zones for toddlers, juniors, and families.
The water play attraction was delayed opening in 2025 after a delay in delivery of parts and in 2024 was also closed early.
