Royal Mail has issued a delivery warning for 139 postcode areas across the UK, including 13 in Wales, as of Tuesday, August 17. The postal firm published a list of the most severely affected areas, meaning residents and businesses in those parts of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to experience hold-ups.

Royal Mail's air and road network has run to schedule over the past 24 hours.
Company statement and delivery standards
Royal Mail stated: "We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week." In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The company said it will rotate deliveries to minimise delay to individual customers and provide targeted support to those offices to restore service to the high standard customers would normally receive.
The postal service aims to deliver to all addresses by 4.30pm on every working day, Monday to Saturday, except in certain locations such as Scotland's Highlands and Islands where transport is limited. Regarding Sunday and evening deliveries, Royal Mail said: "We also make some scheduled parcel deliveries later, which can include deliveries in the evening. These parcel deliveries can include Sundays with some geographical exceptions."
