A power cut caused by a fault on an underground electricity cable in the City has left 32 postcodes across London without electricity, with disruption expected to last for hours.

UK Power Networks said the fault occurred at around 10.30am, affecting several areas of the capital. Liverpool Street Station is among the locations hit, with departure and arrival boards currently not working, according to pictures circulating on social media.
