Predictions attributed to Baba Vanga include claims that World War Three could break out before the end of 2026, that Russia and the US could clash, and that a new Russian leader could replace Vladimir Putin.
Baba Vanga issued warnings about a transformed Russia and emerging leadership in 2026, with the celebrated "seer" forecasting dramatic geopolitical shifts as the Kremlin issues fresh threats. Frequently referred to as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", she has gained notoriety for her prophetic capabilities by "predicting" incidents including the death of Princess Diana.
Forecasts for 2026
While her forecasts for 2026 remain unconfirmed - numerous observers are alarmed by what she envisages for the future. Baba Vanga claimed World War Three would erupt before this year concludes, ushering in a fresh period of political upheaval that would trigger major confrontation amongst global powers.
The clairvoyant predicted a direct confrontation between Russia and the US, alongside the emergence of new Russian leadership in 2026. This would mark the conclusion of Vladimir Putin's 26-year authoritarian rule.
Putin's Nuclear Warning
This follows Putin's warning about deploying his nuclear weapons against Britain owing to the UK's support of Ukraine throughout the confrontation with Russia.
Putin stated the globe was experiencing a perilous period and cautioned the West against escalating tensions over Ukraine by threatening the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, which Moscow has indicated it would protect with nuclear weapons if required, reports the Daily Star.
Russia's Stance and UK Tensions
Engaged in a Ukrainian conflict which he claimed Russia was compelled to initiate to protect its own security, Putin said Russia harboured no intentions to attack any European nation and sought peaceful coexistence.
"If it comes to a direct attack on the Russian Federation – in this case, we are referring to Kaliningrad, and perhaps other territories as well – the question of the Russian Federation deploying all the weapons at our country's disposal will, of course, inevitably and immediately be on the agenda," Putin told the Valdai Forum of international Russia experts in Moscow. "This is inevitable," he added.
Back in August, Moscow reacted with outrage upon discovering that British-made long-range drones had been deployed in Ukrainian strikes deep within Russian territory, swiftly issuing threats of retaliation.
"The United Kingdom is acting as an accomplice and co-perpetrator of the bloody crimes and terrorist attacks committed by Ukrainian neo-Nazis," the Russian Embassy in London warned in a statement. "London's actions will inevitably carry consequences for which it will have to answer ... The deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support of Kiev's terrorist machinery, the higher the price it will pay."
