Wishaw Family's World Cup Adventure Following Scotland

The Blakeway family from Wishaw has enjoyed a trip of a lifetime following Scotland at this year's World Cup. The family traveled from Wishaw to New York and then on to Boston on Saturday to join the Tartan Army and cheer Scotland to a 1-0 victory over Haiti, thanks to a goal from John McGinn.

A Memorable Journey

Children Alan and Amy were pictured at several iconic New York landmarks, including the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, and Ground Zero on the site of the World Trade Center. The family spent a week in the United States before heading to the match.

Dad Alan Snr shared his experience: "We have been very well received, and everyone has wished the team well. We were here for a week and traveled up for the game. It was a four-and-a-half-hour trip each way, and the atmosphere was electric."

First Stadium Experience

He added: "It was the first stadium game for the three of us, although my son has attended big matches before. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Both sets of fans mixed and had a great time."

The family's adventure highlights the passion of Scottish supporters and the unforgettable memories created by following their national team on the world stage.
