Haven's Hopton Holiday Village in Norfolk has been named the AA Holiday Park of the Year for 2026. The park, situated between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, received a five-star rating from the AA, with inspectors highlighting its excellent leisure and entertainment facilities for all ages.
The park features 775 static caravans and sits in the village of Hopton, known for its sweeping sandy beach. Visitors have direct beach access to golden sands and grassy clifftops. The village retains a traditional seaside character with fish-and-chip shops, amusements, and shops. Great Yarmouth is a ten-minute drive away, offering attractions such as Pleasure Beach, SEA LIFE Centre, and pier entertainment.
Nearby attractions include Horsey Gap, a 40-minute drive north, where grey seals can be observed from platforms during the pupping season from late October to February. Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, about 15 miles away, offers rides and wildlife zones, with plans to add four more rides in 2026.
On-site facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a six-hole golf course, tennis courts, bike and kart rental, and an inflatable arena. A large entertainment complex houses a fish and chip shop, amusements, fast food outlets, and The Marina Bar and Stage. Evening entertainment includes The Seaside Squad for children, bingo, and family-friendly shows. In early April, a JD Wetherspoon pub will open on the park.
