Freight Island, the multi-million pound entertainment complex atop Eldon Square in Newcastle city centre, will host a Christmas Village from December 5. The festive attraction includes Santa's Lodge, where families can meet Santa, along with the North Pole Post Office, Mrs Claus' Kitchen, Wishing Tree, and Elf Content Studio.
Opening Date and Attractions
The Christmas Village opens on December 5, with tickets available now from the Freight Island website. It will be located on the rooftop level of Eldon Square, the same venue that opened in the summer. Families are already booking in significant numbers for the Santa's Workshop experience.
Ticket Pricing and Availability
Tickets for December 5, 6, 12, and 13 are priced at £14.50 for adults and £29 for children. For 'peak week' dates, tickets cost £17.50 for adults and £32 for children. Christmas Eve tickets are priced higher, with adult tickets at £26.50 and children's tickets at £40.
The announcement comes as many festive events are being revealed across the region, with Christmas markets and light switch-on dates already confirmed. The village is expected to be a major draw for families looking for seasonal activities in the city centre.
