Manchester hotels are charging significantly higher rates for June 2027 dates, when Oasis is rumoured to play a 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium, according to research by the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N.).
Multiple sources have told the M.E.N. that a 12-night residency is being planned at Manchester's Etihad Stadium in 2027, as part of a major world tour, as well as a return to Knebworth for a run of shows. The record-breaking run of nights could also be extended depending on demand, and industry sources have suggested the "end of August" is the time the Oasis machine will gear up for the massive tour announcement.
At present, there is talk of "Thursday, Friday and Saturday night gigs at the Etihad across June". If the dates are correct, this would mean a huge scramble for hotel rooms and accommodation across Manchester next June.
Yotel reopens bookings after Oasis speculation
Earlier this week, a Manchester hotel was found to have prevented customers from booking dates in June and July in case Oasis announce a 2027 tour. An email seen by the M.E.N. showed that a Deansgate hotel had 'closed' off bookings for next summer ahead of an anticipated announcement.
Yotel on Deansgate had closed off its bookings for the entirety of June and July, with customers unable to book a room at the city centre hotel at all for that period. An email seen by the M.E.N., which was received by a prospective customer, states that bookings are "closed" for that period because they are "waiting" on Oasis to announce 2027 tour dates.
Since the M.E.N.'s piece on this earlier this week (19 August), bookings have opened again for June 2027 at Manchester Yotel Deansgate. June 4-6 is £228 per night for a compact room, while May 14-16 is £80 per night for a compact room.
Hotel prices compared: May vs June 2027
Fans hoping to be in with a chance to secure a ticket for the new Oasis tour should keep the middle week of September clear, as the M.E.N. understands from sources that will be the time for tickets to be released.
The M.E.N. compared prices for a two-night stay in June - when the shows may take place - against a two-night stay in May. The research shows that many hotels are more expensive for the June dates, with several double the price of a May weekend.
Some chains such as Travelodge show all their Manchester hotels as booked for the 4-6 June dates, but available for the May 14-16 dates. Others are priced fairly similarly for May and June, but there are some where it will cost more than £600 to stay for two nights in June. One hotel is charging as much as £1,700 for two nights in both May and June.
It is worth noting that some hotels have not opened bookings for 2027, or are only bookable up to Spring 2027, rather than preventing customers from booking these dates. The prices below were checked on August 20 and 21 and may have since changed.
