Manchester Airport has reported four delayed flights and no cancellations as of 11am on Tuesday, August 11, according to FlightRadar24. The delays affect services to Amsterdam, Valencia, Dubai, and Palma de Mallorca.
Delayed flights
The delayed flights, by 30 minutes or more, are as follows:
- KLM flight KL1032 to Amsterdam, scheduled for 11am, estimated departure 11.55am
- Ryanair flight FR641 to Valencia, scheduled for 11.05am, estimated departure 12.20pm
- easyJet flight U22163 to Amsterdam, scheduled for 1.05pm, estimated departure 1.50pm
- Emirates flight EK18 to Dubai, scheduled for 2.05pm, estimated departure 3.45pm
- easyJet flight U27266 to Palma de Mallorca, scheduled for 8pm, estimated departure 9.37pm
Cancelled flights and summer travel
There are no cancelled flights today so far.
Manchester Airport is expecting its busiest summer on record, with 5.7 million passengers projected to fly to and from the airport between July 17 and September 1. The airport has recently added new facilities as part of its £1.5 billion transformation of Terminal 2, including the Great Northern Market and the Boutique Mall, which features brands like Jo Malone and Chanel.
Passengers are reminded of strict hand luggage rules, including the 100ml liquid limit and a ban on gun-shaped items and anything that could be used as a weapon. In July, nearly 100 items were confiscated at Terminal 2 security in one morning, including yoghurt pots, a leg massager, and a gun-shaped whiskey decanter. Children's 'squishy toys' may also be confiscated if they contain liquids without measurement markings.
