Eurostar passengers can now book a single ticket that combines a cross-channel journey from London to Brussels with a European Sleeper night train, allowing them to fall asleep in London and wake up in Germany. The new booking tool is the result of a partnership between European Sleeper and Choo-Choo, a Dutch specialist in international train connections and cross-border ticket sales.
How the new booking tool works
Travellers take the Eurostar from London to the Belgian capital, then transfer to one of the European Sleeper night train services, all on one ticket. London becomes the first city connected through this new feature.
After arriving in Brussels, passengers can bed down for the night on services heading to Berlin, Prague, Milan, Lake Como, Dresden, and Hamburg. Eurostar has said the selected services have carefully chosen transfer times in Brussels so they link up with European Sleeper night trains.
Ticket prices and destinations
Ticket prices depend on the final destination. Eurostar standard tickets, such as London to Brussels, start at £51 one-way. European Sleeper tickets, for example Brussels onward to Berlin, Prague, or Hamburg, start at £42 one-way for a budget seat or shared Classic compartment.
The tool allows travellers to book both tickets in the European Sleeper booking engine. A search for London to Hamburg, for example, shows a connecting Eurostar train from London to Brussels together with the European Sleeper night train.
What the companies say
Choo-Choo chief executive Manuela Talana said of the launch: 'This new partnership between Choo-Choo and European Sleeper allows us to realise our mission to make train travel across Europe as hassle-free and accessible as possible.' Talana said that the collaboration offers 'more opportunities' to 'revolutionise the booking experience for international train journeys.'
European Sleeper co-founder Chris Engelsman said the new feature will 'make it easier for travellers to book connecting trains across Europe.' He said passengers will get 'proper travel advice' and can buy the additional ticket directly within the European Sleeper booking flow. 'It is ideal for travellers to and from London who want to connect with the night train,' he said, adding that there are future plans to expand the service to other cities and territories.
European Sleeper said that for all connecting train journeys, Choo-Choo provides customer support before, during and after the journey. 'This partnership allows European Sleeper travellers to enjoy a simple booking experience while benefiting from Choo-Choo's expertise in international rail ticketing and customer service.'
European Sleeper was established in 2023 and currently operates three international night train routes: Brussels–Berlin–Prague, Paris–Hamburg–Berlin, and Brussels–Cologne–Zurich–Milan.
