Storm Boelo forces Northumberland pumpkin patch to close on Sunday
Storm Boelo closes Northumberland pumpkin patch on Sunday

Brocksbushes Pumpkin Experience in Northumberland will close on Sunday, October 25, and shut early on Saturday due to Storm Boelo. The storm, the second named storm in as many days, is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the North this weekend.

Closure Details and Affected Events

The farm near Hexham will close at 4pm on Saturday instead of the usual 5pm. The pumpkin experience has become an annual tradition for many North East families, and this year was billed as the biggest event yet, promising 'immersive Halloween magic'.

Other events affected include Newcastle Quayside Market and South Shields Market, which have been cancelled. Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei have also amended their opening hours.

Safety Concerns and Booking Changes

A spokesperson for the farm said online: "Unfortunately the weather is not on our side this weekend and safety for our customers is important to us." They added: "Saturday 24th October- We are closing one hour earlier. If you have a ticket for our 4pm-5pm slot you can come at anytime during the day, or if you wish to move to another day you can. Sunday 25th October- We have made the difficult decision to close the whole day due to the high winds forecast."

Customers can change bookings by logging into their digitickets account or emailing events@brocksbushes.co.uk. The team is working through all bookings as quickly as possible.
