The Met Office forecast for Wales today predicted: "Wet and windy with outbreaks of heavier rain through much of the day, pushing away during the afternoon to leave some evening bright spells."
Strong winds were expected to reach gale force at coasts before easing during the afternoon, with a maximum temperature of 10 °C.
