Plane crash at Essex air show leaves pilot seriously injured

A plane has crashed at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome in Essex, leaving a pilot with serious injuries. The incident occurred during the Stow Maries Air show on Sunday, August 16.

Emergency response

Essex Police were called to the aerodrome near Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, shortly before 2.25pm. The sole occupant of the aircraft was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Public advised to avoid area

The public have been asked to avoid the area to allow responders to work, according to Essex Live. The cause of the incident is not yet known.
